Very hearty, very aromatic, perfectly flavored, with a delicate finish of beech and conifer smoke.
You can cut it as thick or thin as you like, for pizzas, sandwiches, pasta dishes, soups, etc. Finely chop for sauces, salads and savoury pastries.
You can even use it to make a vegan version of a traditional Austrian ‘Krautfleckerl’, a dish made from pasta and cabbage with chunks of smoked ham ...well, it’s worth a try!
