Vitam Organic Tofu Scramble Mix 200g
Vitam 'Scrambled Tofu' is a seasoning mix for making vegan alternatives to scrambled egg.
This special seasoning mix contains organic roasted onions, garlic, spice and herbs as well as the special ingredient 'Kala Namak'. Indian Kala Namak rock salt has a slightly sulfurous flavor giving plain tofu the 'eggy' flavour and smell, with natural turmeric adding a yellow colour.
Vitam's 'Scrambled Tofu' seasoning is also excellent for making tofu frittata or omelette and also Chaat Masala with some vegetable yogurt and lemon juice over fruit and salads, in Lassi and cucumber Rajitas.
Using plain tofu, just mash with a fork and then add the Tofu Scramble Mix, before frying in a pan.

Add 1 heaped tablespoon (17 grams) of Scrambled Tofu seasoning in 100 ml of water. Pan fry 150 grams of mashed tofu in a pan with a little oil, turning occasionally with a spatula until golden yellow and crumbly. (A non-stick pan gives best results). Pour the 'Scrambled Tofu' mixture and continue to fry, vigorously stirring about and allowing the moisture to cook off, until the desired consistency is reached.
