We have had quite a few enquiries over the years from people looking for soya free vegan cheese alternatives. Finally, VBites have created this new 'Soy Free Cheezly'.
As with so many products we had to try it to see what it was like for ourselves... and we liked it. It has a softer smoother texture than the original Cheezly, which can be a bit crumbly sometimes.
As for taste, it had a pleasant cheesy flavour - cheese snobs might say it was more like those cheesey spreads than the real thing, but we thought it was nice... in fact someone here ate half a block straight from the pack!
Can be sliced or grated and melts quite well for toasted sandwiches or vegan pizzas. We think this will be a useful product in your kitchen and we hope to add some recipes using this product soon.
Made from a blend of pea protein, potato starch and non-hydrogenated vegetable fats, Soy Free Cheezly is suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans, free from wheat, gluten, dairy and of course soya. This product doesn't use hydrogenated fats and is cholesterol free.
