Five traditional, Soya-free skinless vegan sausages.

Wheaty's organic, vegan take on the traditional cevapcici of the balkans still popular in the former Yugolavian countries and increasingly Europe and US.

These are typically grilled over hot coals before being served with pitta breads, chopped onions and relishes (like the traditional 'avjar' made with aubergines, peppers, garlic and chili). But do feel free to break with those traditions and experiment!

When we first saw them we did not have high expectations - as they sounded a bit unusual to our English palates... but we were pleasantly surprised because these are very tasty.
Ingredients:
Water, Wheat Protein* (22%), Sunflower Oil*, Onion*, Seasoning*, Yeast Extract, Wheat Starch*, Peppers*, Potato Starch*, Sea Salt, Thickening Agent (xanthan gum and locust bean gum*)).
* = Certified Organic
May contain traces of mustard and celery.

Nutritional Values per 100g:
885 kJ / 211 kcal, Protein 21.8g, Carbohydrates 12g, Fat 8.4g.

Preparation:
Briefly deep fry Cevapwheaty for best results. Alternatively, fry in a good quality pan with a little olive oil until crisp. Serve with avjar and Balkan vegatables on rice. (VeggieStuff Tip: A non stick pan gives the best result.)
