Traditional style organic tempeh from Viana.

Tempeh is a traditional food that was first made in Java, now part of Indonesia. Soyabeans are partly cooked and fermented with a special Rhizopus culture that then grows around it to hold it all together in a 'cake'. Sounds a bit yukky but tastes good and is highly nutritious!
Viana tempeh is tasty raw or cooked with slightly a nutty flavour. You can simply stir fry it in a little oil, or cut into cubes and add to soups or stews. It takes on flavours well so a little soy sauce or marinade can add a lot of flavour.

Suitable for freezing.

Soybeans*, Apple Vinegar*, Rhizopus Oligosporus (culture)
