Vegan Jelly and Custard! It's a classic dessert and kids of all ages can enjoy this dairy free vegan jelly and custard dessert recipe. All you need is a few simple ingredients from our store, listed below. Ingredients: You will also need some small dessert dishes or some glass tumblers. Step 1 Mix the jelly crystals with boiling water as instructed on the packet.
Each sachet should make around a pint (568 ml). Stir the crystals in until fully dissolved and then pour into your bowls. Let them cool a little, then move into your fridge to set. Step 2 When the jellies have set, take them out of the fridge and pour the Provamel Dairy Free Custard on.
Fill up to almost the top of your dessert glasses.
Step 3 Shake your Soyatoo! Dairy Free Soya Spray Cream, following the instructions on the can.
You should find that if you hold the can upside down, and shake down firmly, you can get a good spray of cream. Start at the edge of the dessert glasses and spiral your way in to make a point in the centre. They are ready to serve. Some more tips for great results! Tip#1: To set fruit into you jelly you may find that it just sinks. If you would like the pieces of fruit to be suspended mix only part of your jelly and fill the glasses part way and allow to set. You can then put some fruit pieces in on this firsty layer before mixing and pouring in the rest of the jelly. Tip#2: For best results, Soyatoo! Spray Cream should not be too cold. The fats in the cream can set if they are too cold and all you will get out is gas - the cream will be stuck inside. It is suggested on the can that you allow some time for a chilled can to warm up. Although they can be stored at room temperature before use, we also noted that the results were better when the can was cooled slightly - at room temperature the cream is too soft, so you need to use more cream to get the same effect. So in short - keep your cream cool :-) |
