Vegan Cheesy Twists
If you loved cheese straws and don't eat dairy cheese any more, you'll like this easy way to use up your patry off-cuts.
A really quick and simple treat.
Ingredients: Stage 1: Take your pastry off-cuts and roll them out into a square. If they are small just stick them together.
Take some grated vegan cheese, or shake out some Parazano (use quite a lot) on one side. In this photo you can see we have experiemented with several different types. Stage 2: Fold the pastry and roll it out again.
If you have used Parmezanoyou may want to fold and roll it a couple of times as it is a dry powder and the pastry could seperate, so fold it in well. Then when you are happy the vegan cheese is mixed in, slice the pastry into strips. Grease a baking tray and lay the strips on it, twisting in the middle. Bake according to the pastry manufacturers instructions. Because these are quite small pieces they will probably puff up paster so you might want to chek on them as they may cook faster that the pack suggests.
Best eaten nice and hot! For a little extra flavour try taking a slice of Redwood Pepperoni or Viana Velami and cut into tiny pieces and mix in with the cheese.
