Vegan Cheesy Tortilla Rolls take just a couple of minutes.
A super quick snack or starter. Rolled toasted torilla filled with dairy free cheese and vegan salami pieces. With a pack of wraps, a block of sheese and some Viana slices you can make a nice plate of party food starters.
Ingredients: (Ideally, use a non stick pan) Stage 1: Heat your pan and lay your tortilla out in it to start toasting it.
While the pan is heating up grate your dairy free cheese on top - and sprinkle on any herbs or spices. Tear up the slices of Viana Velami and lay them on top. Let the tortilla get hot - it will remain quite soft and flexible, but don't let it burn. Less than a minute should be enough once your pan is hot. Stage 2: Carefully roll up the tortilla - minding your fingers on the pan. Roll it over if you can so that the outside fold is on the bottom. This will help to seal it up.
As the trotilla cools it will set in this shape, and it will also be a bit crispy. Stage 3: Take your rolled tortilla out of the pan.
You can eat it just rolled up, but if you want to share then just cut in to pieces. Here we used a crinkle cutter just to be fancy! This recipe also works quite nicely with the vegan alternatives to soft cheese too. Try cutting up other vegan deli slices, like Redwood Cheatin' Garlic Sausage, Redwood Cheatin' Pepperoni or Viana Carpaccio Prima.
Try using the many seasoned/flavoured wheat tortillas and wraps you can buy. Some are flavoured with garlic and herbs, tomato, etc which add even more flavour.
