Organic vegan tofu by Taifun, the German tofu masters. Extra firm for fine slicing and smoked for a rich taste.

Eat as a cold snack or in salads. Fry in a little oil (ideally in a non-stick pan) for vegetable dishes or with potatoes.

We have used this with a good soya sauce (use a real fermented one like Kikkomans rather than brown coloured water!) to make bacon style slices. Slice thinly, fry the slices in vegetable oil in a non stick pan and then when a bit crispy add a dash of soya sauce and shake them about in it until coated... A few more seconds to cook off the mooisture and they are ready for a tasty alternative in 'Bacno Butties' or with cooked breakfast.
