This organic vegetarian sausage mix is a delicious jumble of organic ingredients that can be simply prepared for a tasty meat-free banger that is lightly seasoned with organic herbs.

Try wrapping in puff pastry for sausage rolls, or use as one large filling for a savoury Pastry Plait (Place into the centre of a sheet of puff pastry on a greased baking tray and cut each side into strips and plait like a strudel). For a little variety, try spicing this mix up by adding chilli powder or curry spices into the mix before adding the water.
Ingredients:
Textured vegetable protein*, Wholewheat Breadcrumbs*, (Wholemeal flour*, Yeast, Salt), Brown Rice Flour*, Cous Cous*, Non-hydrogenated Palm Fat*, Onion*, Vegetable Bouillon* (salt, yeast extract, rice flour*, vegetables (onion*, celery*, carrots*, parsley*), Palm Fat*, Tumeric*), Tomato Powder*, Celery Powder*, Leek*, Sea Salt, Parsley*, Black Pepper*, Sage*.
* = Certified organic ingredient processed in accordance with EU standards.
Allergy information: Contains soya, gluten and celery.

Nutritional analysis per 100g:
Energy 1530kJ/363kcal, Calories from Fat 418kJ/102kcal, Protein 20.8g, Carbohydrate 54.2g, of which sugars 8.4g, Fat 10.8g, of which saturated 5.1g, monounsaturated 3.3g, polyunsaturated 2.5g, cholesterol trace, Fibre 9.6g, Sodium 0.7g, Calcium 0.2g, Iron 6.4mg

Directions for use:
Empty contents of sachet into a bowl and add 175ml (6 1/4 fl. oz.) of boiling water, stir well and leave to stand for 10 minutes. Form into banger shapes (approximately 8) with wet hands. Either fry (in a little oil), grill or barbeque until golden brown or bake in a preheated oven (200C/400F or Gas Mark 6) for 20 minutes, turning once, until thoroughly cooked.
