This vegetarian burger mix from Granose replaces the Realeat and Direct Foods burger mixes that we have all enjoyed over the years. This follows the merger or these brands and them being sold on to a new owner.

Makes four burgers when made following the instructions on pack.

VeggieStuff Kitchen Tip:
This product calls for an egg in the recipe, this is as a binder for oil and water and helps hold the mix together. You may use instead use an egg replacer such as Orgran No Egg which can be added to the dry mix before adding the cold water to avoid making the recipe too wet.

Ingredients:
Dried Textured Soya Protein (15%) (Defatted Soya Flour, Iron (Ferrous Sulphate), Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate), Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), Wholewheat Rusk, Dried Oats, Wheat Gluten, Sunflower Seeds (10%), Dried Vegetables (8%) (Onion, Carrot, Red Peppers), Yeast Extract, Tomato Powder, Vegetable Oil, Modified Potato Starch, Dried Mixed Herbs, Colour (Beetroot Red), Sea Salt, Dried Parsley, Garlic Powder, Dried Chives.

Directions for use:
Empty the contents of both sachets into a bowl. Add 160ml of cold water and one medium sized egg. Mix and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Form into 4 burger shapes and fry gently in shallow oil until golden brown. Alternatively pre-heat grill on a medium setting and grill for 6 minutes each side or until golden brown.
