We're Cook Vegetarian! magazine's 'Best Veggie Website'!

Of course we're humbled and want to thank our fans... and parents for helping out for free sometimes!

For those of you who don't know, Cook Vegetarian! is the UK's only monthly magazine dedicated to veggie and vegan food. It is packed with recipe ideas (104 in the current edition) from expert veggies like Rose Elliot and some TV chefs too. It is now available from places like Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, ASDA, Spar, Waitrose and WHSmith... so grab a copy!

From their launch we have been keeping an eye on Cook Vegetarian! and its been improving each month. We have helped them out with a few samples of products and we met them at some of the big veggie shows during the year too. We love their magazine and think it is great to have a bright and positive veggie magazine in the mainstream at last. Here is what they said:

This website first came onto our radar because of its massive selection of veggie and vegan sweets (from the highly addictive gelatine-free Haribo to cooks' ingredients such as chocolate couvature) but confectionary is just the beginning! You'll find lots of other foods here, including some that aren't widely available, but most of all, it's just a really nice company to buy from. Friendly service by vegetarians, for vegetarians - and more tasty products being added all the time, so definitely worth repeat visits!

What we looked for...
While we do enjoy the hands-on experience of rummaging through supermarket and health shop shelves in search of great new finds, we love the fact that veggies can now browse hundreds of intriguing new ingredients at the click of a mouse! Initially, we were looking to award meat-free retail sites only, but we broadened our remit to include resources too. Ultimately, we wanted our top six websites to be genuinely useful to vegetarians.

So we are really pleased they liked what we are doing too.
